Tecmo Super Bowl 1991 Redux

It always bugged me when I first got Tecmo Super Bowl back in 1991 that the game used rosters from the 1990 season. So when I found out about emulation and being able to edit games, I set to fix the issues with the rosters. This project has been one I have worked on for about 20 years now off and on. I have gone back and re-done all the rosters, ratings and more to this updated version so it simulates the 1991 NFL season accurately. Please note that both versions uploaded have the “P2 Plays as Road Team Hack”. I did this so the actual home teams from the 1991 schedule play on the left side of the field and the road teams always play on the “bad” side. To play a regular season campaign with these versions you will need to be able to play with a P2 controller with your setup. With that said, feel free to download and enjoy!

 

Two versions available:

#1 – Vanilla – Hacks included:

• TE sim fix
• Change offensive SIM to ‘out of 32’ sum
• More NFL like QB rating value
• Player 2 Conditions Fix
• Prevent schedule from being random
• QB backpedal animation hack
• Randomize sound loop used for each play
• FG avoid kick block fix
• QB/PR ball control
• Directional punts
• Changing KR Speed
• PR speed change from SS to actual PR player
• Add stats after half
